Everyone admitted to one of these programs will need an Au Pair in China visa with very specific requirements about what can be done in the country, how long they can stay in the country and how the correct documents should be obtained. By not following these visa requirement rules exactly to the letter, au pairs may be denied entry into China and their entire program could be ruined.

 

Visa applications will vary based on how long the applicant’s au pair in China program will last. The applicant must also do the entire visa application themselves—it cannot be completed by the program that is setting them up with their host family. It’s also important to keep in mind that the visa takes about four to seven business days to process and then there is shipping time for it to be sent to the applicant—so make sure this is taken into account when submitting the application.
